Lower Back Pain

lower back pain

80% of the population experiences low back pain at some point in their lives.

There are many reasons why pain may be felt in the lower back. Some are serious, most are not.  These can range from serious injury, inherited disorders to normal wear and tear.

Heavy lifting, stretching and exercise can cause a strain, spasm or sprain in the muscles and connective tissues of the lower back.  Occasionally, a spinal disc may rupture or bulge outward, causing pressure on the nerves located in the lumbar region, resulting in sciatica, or by degenerative disorders like arthritis and osteoporosis.

Stress, obesity, lifestyle and other potentially serious medical disorders can cause lower back pain. If you are experiencing lower back pain, it is advisable to call us. You will benefit of an early diagnosis and immediate treatment, preventing "chronic pain syndrome" and minimising permanent restrictions and drug dependency.

A referral is not required to make an appointment, although we may liaise with your general practitioner if necessary.

We are experts at diagnosing and treating lower back conditions with advanced techniques and over 18 years of successful experience. We use a comprehensive range of diagnostic tests to find the cause of your pain, and then we apply the most appropriate treatment to treat and cure your condition after fully explaining the problem to you.
